Taking Aunt Gracie on the Golf Cart

One evening Doggy Nanny and Grandpa had to go out so they asked if Aunt Gracie could come to my house.  MY JAW DROPPED!  Of course she can, I may not let her leave!!!!!!  The first thing we did when she arrived was take her out on the golf cart.

We played in the soybean field.

I showed her my favorite trees to play on.

Took a picture with the soy beans.

We headed back to the road.

Last but not least we worked on our co-walking wif momma.  I think we got this!

I Think I was Stung by a Wasp

8-29-17 So Doggy Nanny, Grandpa, Gracie and I were just sitting on the porch just minding our own business when outta nowheres I felt a poke.  I screamed and Doggy Nanny said that she saw a wasp fly away. We don't know for sure that he was the one that hurt me but I did get a swelling on my shoulder and kept reaching back to scratch it because it hurt!  I got in Doggy Nanny's lap and didn't move for the longest time till momma came home then I went over to her with my tail tucked and a pittyful face and told her about my horrible afternoon.  She said that she had some *MAGICAL* cheese that would make me feel better.....but it only made me sleepy.  So I took a good long nap.

After that we went for a quick golf cart ride through the neighborhood to ease my suffering.  It was nice I saw Badger the Yellow Lab and 2 baby deer.  So that helped!  When I woke up this morning the swelling was gone and it didn't hurt.  So alls well that ends well huh but I will be watching for them mean old wasps and staying far away in the future.

9-14-17 Update: after my magical cheese helped the swelling go down I felt better.  A few days later the little lump that was left drained and momma kept it clean while it healed.  Now I have no bump, no scar, and feel fine.  But I am still mad at that mean ol wasp!

Dog Sport Notebook

A few weeks ago momma began building me a sport notebook.  On the front I have a page of title goals I would like to achieve with the AKC.  The first one is already met.  I got my S.T.A.R. Puppy in May 2017.  Next I am working on Trick Dog.

So right now that is what the notebook is filled with Trick Dog Title information.  On the AKC's website they have an "Evaluator Guide" for the Tick Dog Titles.  It lists the title levels, requirements, and trick description for each level.

I have my official trick list in the side pocket.  As we add new tricks we create an entry line, put the level it counts towards,  if its completed (meaning I can do it on cue every time with no treat if need be), and a notes section for momma.  Now we (and by we I mean momma) will not forget to practice each one individually.

I will add more sport info/sections as we start practicing them.  One sport I think would be fun is Rally-Obedience.  Its like traditional obedience but more relaxed with some agility mixed in for us pups!  Last but not least, on the back the life size portrait my mom printed a few weeks back.

The Deer on Granny Ln.

Instead of going on our usual route, momma told me we were going down Granny Lane for our walk/golf cart ride.

Not 5 minutes into the ride momma saw something out of the corner of her eye.  OH MY DOG, its a DEER!  Standing just feet away from us.  She stayed there long enough for momma to get these cool shots.

As we rounded the first corner we spotted number 2 coming out of the corn field.

Around the next curve numbers 3 & 4 just standing in an empty field.

After we turned back...

...we looked down a long drive way to spot number 5.

Then just before we went back to our road we spotted number 6 in the last yard we passed.

We got a quick shot of the moon, that famous moon that gave us the great eclipse was so pretty tonight.

Shopping and Showers

When we went to the clinic to work on the newsletter back in July we found an invite in mommas mail box to attend a Baby Shower for one of the Vet Technicians Morgan.  So we added it to the big pink book and made a side note to go shopping.  I sure liked that part!!!  So after work a few weeks ago Momma picked me up from Aunt Gracies house and we went to town.  Oh boy its like Petsmart but for baby stuff.

We downloaded her registry onto my smart phone and headed in.  Did you know there were so many toys and accessories for human babies?  I was shocked!!!  We found a few fantastic items and headed for the check out.  Bye bye!

We stopped after that to pick up a cute card and some wrapping materials.  Momma forgot to get a picture of that.  Tsk! Tsk!

When the big day came the weather was just so nice I decided to text Aunt Gracie and see if I could come play while momma went to the shower.  I got a response furry quick and Aunt Gracie even came to pick me up!

Momma packed up and set out to the shower. She was greeted at the gate by balloons.  It's a boy!

She said it was a farm themed shower and she had a lot of fun catching up with her friends from the clinic. They even took a group photo for the clinic Facebook Page.

Training on a Toppled Tree

Down in the Soy Bean field there is a fence row with toppled trees.  This one is my favorite.  we have been using it quite often for training sessions.

Its the perfect height for paws up and up.

Not to mention the beautiful photos it provides!!!!

Mid jump!

Ooh whats this?

Snack time!

There are also some fence posts that are poodle sized.

Although I am kind of worried why there is a chain here and why its literally nailed into the top with a clip.  But some questions don't need answers I suppose.
