Thankful Thursday: MY BFF

Today I am Thankful Aunt Gracie is my BFF.

When ever I come up to her house I give her kisses while we get caught up on the happenings since we last visited.

I love telling her about the training session I have had and recently got to show her the certificates that arrived in the mail.

She asked me since I graduated from puppy class if that means I am no longer a puppy and if I am still allowed to play bitey face.  I graduated from puppy training level not from being a puppy and I will NEVER outgrow biety face!!!!

Speaking of bitey face.....LET'S GO!!!

Maybe She's Born With It, Maybe It's Maybelline

The first time I got groomed by Mrs. Annette, she called momma and asked if she would like my eyelashes left since they were so long and curled back away from my eyes.  Momma said yes and shes tried but never been able to capture them on film.  But I think she got 'em this time.

I'm glad I got to keep them cause I like to bat them at my boyfriend!!!

Face to Face with a Baby Raccoon

For a few weeks Doggy Nanny and momma have spotted a rather large racoon coming around in search of food in our yards.  Momma saw her hanging off our porch eating out of Jacksons food dish and Doggy nanny spotted her around the bird feeders.  They have never been able to get a picture as she scampers off at the first sight of a human.

*A Dramatic Reenactment*

So one afternoon we were on the golf cart heading up to Aunt Gracies for a round of Bitey face when momma and I spotted some movement next to our neighbors pasture fence. There sat three tiny baby raccoons.  It all makes sense why we had been seeing the adult raccoon so often searching for food, she is a new mom!  Two of the babies scampered off into the pasture but one stayed and watched us watching him or her.  We didn't know if momma was around or watching us so we headed on up to Aunt Gracies house.  We didn't want to scare her or make her mad.

Isn't he/she just the cutest little itty bitty you have ever seen?!?!?

Framed

After getting my AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy title I had to send in the paperwork to receive my certificate and medal.  They finally arrived in the mail and momma got it framed along with my Petsmart Puppy Class Certificate.  We did a little Photoshoot with them for my scrapbook.

Intermediate Training Class - Postponed

So over the past week since the last intermediate class I have been thinking I scheduled this class too quickly.  Now that being said Lucy has done a fabulous job!  She loves doing training and trick sessions daily.  She behaves so well for a puppy of only 7 months old and I am very proud!  Our heel work has just not been going as well.  She is getting distracted very easily and the heat (80-90 degrees) has not made things any easier.  A strong heel is so important for a well rounded dog and going on to earn titles.  My hope is one day we can work as a team to earn AKC CGC, Trick, Obed/Rally Obed and Therapy Dog Titles.  I called and spoke with the trainer and withdrew from the current class and was put on the postpone list.  I will call back later in the year to reschedule.  I want her to have a good foundation on heel and doing it when she is older and able to focus a little better hopefully will work out for us.  So for now we will continue with loose leash training, basic obedience work, daily trick training and just have fun.

Sandal Scandal

The sandal in question was supposed to be part of my picnic photo when Aunt Gracie stole it and ran off.

Oh the chase was on then!

Come back here!  I'm telling Santa Paws!

Oh that seemed to work.  You see the sandal flew right out of her mouth!

#ChewyInfluencer - Nature's Variety Instinct Healthy Cravings Review

Good Morning,
Today I am reviewing the Nature's Variety Instinct Healthy Cravings Kibble Topper.  Since it is officially summer, there is no better way to enjoy the sunny skies and warm temperatures than with a picnic!
*My official entry photo for the Chewy.com summer photo contest*

I currently eat dry kibble by Science Diet.  Since becoming a blogger I have seen a lot of my furiends that get toppers on their dinner, so when I saw this as one of the items available for the #ChewyInfluencer program I pawed Mrs Natalie and let her know I would like to try it.

Key Benefits

   * Wholesome, real chicken in gravy recipe makes the perfect dry food topper or meal enhancer
*A grain-free and gluten-free option that’s perfect for dogs with gluten intolerance
*Does not contain any artificial colors, flavors or preservatives
   * Dogs of all ages and breeds can enjoy this moisture-rich for added hydration
*Made without any corn, wheat or soy for a pure delicious chicken taste

OMD that smells heavenly!

I got my normal pre-measured about of kibble and then momma poured on the topper!!!!  My tail was wagging with excitement!

Normally I am a picker....I take about 3 pieces of kibble, eat those on my dinner mat, then play wif my toys maybe have a few more pieces of kibble.  Not with Nature's Variety in my bowl.  I didn't even look up when a squirrel ran just outside the fence during the picnic. Momma was shocked!

To wash it all down I had some refreshing ice water.  Ahh that hit the spot!

Nature's Variety Instinct Healthy Cravings also comes in beef, salmon, and lamb formula for canines.  For our feline furiends it comes in chicken, duck, tuna and salmon formula.

Nature's Variety Instinct Healthy Cravings made my day and made my picnic super special!  If you love meat and gravy I highly recommend this product!  It gets an official A+ from me.

Last but not least it gets the seal of approval from mom because it has no artifical colors and is made in the USA.

Lucy
