Recently we got to experience the harvest moon. We caught it on the tail end in the wee early morning hours. It was quite spectacular. Research revealed that its called the harvest moon by the farmers who would work late into the night during autumn planting. With it being a full moon and being close in orbit to earth it provided just enough light.
