Road Trip to Pick Up Lily

 It was a chilly November evening.  November 4th 2025 (ironically enough it was the 22nd anniversary of mother adopting her first poodle Mollie Jo so  we had an angel watching over us that night for sure).  We loaded up in the Tuscon and headed over to Mrs M's house to pick her and her human kids up.

I was nervous but it was time to pick up Lily.

Now I am going to be the middle child.  How am I going to survive this? 

We drove through many small towns including mineral wells.  

Home of the Baker Hotel.

The light atop the building was shining bright pink.

Its currently in renovation and it has a long history including a lady jumping to her death.  

We found many cool place and things here incluidng this vintage truck.  

Mother asked Lily's previous owner for pics of her on the road.  She was happy to send a few.  

A few more miles and we arrived at Sonic in Stephenville.  We were passed the skinniest little hairless pup we had ever seen.  She was still and quiet.  She didn't know what to do being passed off from the only owner she ever knew into a car with 2 adults 2 kids and 2 dogs.  

Mrs M's daughter Kit Kat got Lily out so mother could get a good look at her and  a good picture.  Aww I guess shes cute for a scruffy hairless pup.

Then we played musical pups.  Lily and Poppy Ended up in the front seat while Kit Kat filled the car with gas.  They did great.

Then Lily was passed back to Leia and I got to meet her.

Ehh shes smells ok.

Its fine.

Then I was passed up front and rode home.  We dropped Mrs M, kit kat and leia off then headed to our house.  

Momma heard a weird noise coming from the back seat and when she stopped at a light she looked back to see me with Leia's starbucks cups.  

Im so glad she left this for me.  

Im now a coffee addict!

Lily rode home in the front with Mother.  She didin't move a muscle. 

We got home furry late.  11pm late. BOL.  We leashed lily and momma then retrieved us from the backseat. 

Lily was put in her play pen.  So we could all get ready for bed.

She was very much opposed to this. 

She had to sleep in there cause we didn't have any vaccine records or anything for her.  She protested but eventually fell asleep as did we.  Mother said she had the best sleep of her life cause she was so tired.  Same Mother Same!

Well we are officially a 3 dog household now.
