Poppy Earns Her Badge of Bravery

After I pawed through her records I saw her vaccinations were due the week we picked up little Poppy. Momma set an EARLY alarm on the phone and we drove the 2 miles (I love living in the city) to the Vet Clinic.

Come on Poppy we cant leave till photos are taken.

We have arrived.  She was too nervous for an outdoor pic so we bypassed that this time.

In the waiting room, Poppy still looked awful nervous.

I kept giving her nose bumps on the toesies to make her feel better...but it didn't seem to help much.  So I just puppy n people watched.  (Edit by momma: While she did jump down quite often to run up to people, Lucy listened well.  She would stop before she reached people/dogs and would come back and sit quietly.  #proud)

Exam table photo.

Then the tech joined us, asked what Poppy needed, scanned for a microchip (she didn't have one), and let us know the Dogtor would be in soon.

They took Poppy to the back for a heartworm check and she was negative, the best news we could hope for!   Today we met Dr. Hoffman.  She was fabulous.  She had lots of good information on CC's.  Poppy's exam results were good so the Dogtor administered the vaccines.  She was a big girl and didn't even cry!  She seemed happy to get back to us when it was all done.  She snuggled down in mommas arms.  The tech brought us heartworm preventative and I made sure it was legit.  I gave it a good sniff test.  We loaded up and headed up front to get her HWP, Badge of Bravery and certificate.

All froo and headed home.

I think someone needs a nap.

Smooches,
Lucy and Poppy
