I Ruined ThanksGiving!

Thanksgiving 2025 was one for the record books.  

I started out salty cause momma bathed me and made me wear this grinch sweater.

Fine its chilly out Ill make due.

We had 2 uncles coming into town so we left early so momma could get us outside and let us get out energy out so hopefully we would behave.

It didnt last long.  BOL

When  the other family members arrived Lily got scared.  Cora was in the back yard watching for squirrels and I, Poppy, was borking my fool head off at everyone coming in.  

Once the food was set out momma went to retrieve Cora.  She was no where to be found in the yard.  Uncle C and Uncle W helped us look.  They even looked in the field behind Doggy Nannys house.  She was gone. But momma could hear her borks so she knew she was near by.  After about 20 min and everyone else had eaten momma left me and lily with doggy nanny and went searching.  she found the "alley" way or field behind Doggy nannys house had an opening big enough to drive through and was sure glad cause her knee issues wouldn't let her walk back there and it would have been a fall risk.  After another 10 min she spotted the bright green little grinch of a sister.  She was just behind someones house borking at nothing.

Momma got out of the car and hollered for her. 

She looked dishevelled but not one bit ashamed. 

Thats right Poppy cause I wasn't and still am not ashamed.

I loved the view on the drive back.  

I was held up and publicly shamed then de burred.

Yea yea Im on Santa's "naughty" list.  Id do it again.

All the commotion wore me out.  I was laid out flat on my side snoring.  

But made sure to rotate to sleep evenly.

Once freed from the wicked mothers grasp I ran to Doggy nanny for loving. 

Scritches

and a massage.

Gracie tried to help but no fankyous. 

Lily had never seen a flustered momma she didn't know what to do.  

I stood my ground I was not ashamed. 

Doggy Nanny agreed I was just being a doggie. 

I was thirsty and did need to go get a drink 

But too nervous to leave the protective blankie and warm embrace of Doggy Nanny.  

Lily got brave and made her way up with Me on the doggie bench.  drats.  

Then momma loaded us all up in Pear and we headed for home. 

Still not ashamed.  

We were tired and napped. 

Then momma made cora put her dirty clothes in the laundry.  She should have a concequence for running off and putting away her dirty clothes was sufficient.
