Oklahoma Drive

We went and filled up the car.

Got some good music going....

...And we hit the open road.

Feels good to have a drive with no destination.

What does that sign say....Why does it look like that.

As we drove around this tiny town (Don't even remember the name) we saw these were the street signs.  Unique!

After that I hopped in the front seat.  We passed many a soybean field.

I started remembering all the stories Lucy used to tell of romping though the soybean fields of Kentucky.  I miss my sissy.

This trip is for her!  Onward!

We passed through many a tiny towns and ended up in Frederick OK.

OMD is that a bear!

Darn Tootin its a bear!

The murals here are stunning.

Especially this one just as you come into town.  Furry nice!

We passed many little neighborhoods.

Then we ended up in the old down town area.

Oops we left town by accident...

...But came right back.

Back through the residential.

We found this cool retro grocery store.

And just down the road was the town square.

Nothing more southern and oklahoma coded than the old farm store.

This was their city hall.

Its so pretty!

They even decorate their wire boxes here too.

They have a place called the Chick-N Coop.  Absolutely adorbs!

Momma slow down.

What is this place.

Its got trains....

...a depot...

...and old farm equipment.

Its the Pioneer Townsie Museum...Neat-o!

Down the road there was a flying motorcycle.

Back in the down town area we found many birbs.

Old boarded up shops.

More birbs.

More old shops.

OOH OOH Another painted wire box.  Its got a cactus!  Love it!

And this one was just a nice painted sky!

Just past the highschool we headed out of Frederick and back towards Texas.  I was plum worn out.

We passed the river and boy was it dry.

Like all that should be water.

And we are officially back in TEXAS!  God Bless!

Momma pulled over so we could take a pic of the sign.

Photo op time!

Then back towards town.  Nice open road!

And windmill farms.

Before we knew it we saw the sign that said we made it back home.

What a fabulous trip.  Yes Cora went with...she just didn't want to have her pic taken.  Silly sissy.
