American Cancer Society's Bark For Life

Saturday May 13  2017 we attended a Bark for Life event at the Mayfield-Graves Co. Dog Park.

Here is the schedule of events.

When we arrived we got signed up at the Bark for Life table.  I got so excited I jumped out of my stroller and up on the table.  BOL  The registration person didn't seem to mind, thankfully!

There were big dogs, little dogs, and fluffy dogs.

They had a bathing station set up but I got a bath before I came.

Who is that little dog with black furs?

Yep its Sawyer and Silas ( I got so excited to see him I tinkled.  Oops).  They are the ones who invited us to the event via facey-bookie.  Thanks boys!

When I registered I received a goodie bag.  Can we take a sneak peak inside momma?

OOOH!  Treats....

....a dog bowl, and is that a rope toy?!?!?!!

Momma I think I heard they are starting the dog training demonstration.

The training demo was put on by none other than my own trainer Nanette.  The white doggie is one of her former students who was attending the event as well.  He was very well behaved.

Then it was time for the contests!  I made a quick change into my nurses outfit.

Watching the best trick and biggest dog contests before it was my turn.

I won a frisbee for being the smallest dog at a tiny 6 pounds and a water bowl for best costume!!!

Here is a haul photo of all the great gifts I got in the goody bag.

So many great toys how will I ever choose which to play with first?

When I got home momma put all the toys down for me to play with and I kept switching back and forth between the rope toy and trifexis frisbee just having a great chew session.  The perfect end to a perfect day!

2017 Goat Work

Momma works part-time for Dr. Flanary doing the newsletter, facebook, typing projects and Goat Work.  What is goat work you may ask.  Well the goats Dr. Flanary has are furry special.  They are registered, similarly to dogs with the AKC, but hers are TRIPLE registered.  How cool is that?  So what happens is each spring as the goats are born and sold momma gets a list of registered babies to make papers for and this year is my first year helping.  I make sure she keeps all the registration numbers in order and each ones papers are labeled correctly.  Here I am with mommas "Goat Binder".  Momma says I am a great lil helper.

If you want to see Dr. Flanarys herd you can hop over to her website by clicking here.   Then select "Nigerian Dwarf Goats" from the Animal tab.  She has goats of every color and some of them even have moon spots.  Those are my favorite! #68 is my pick for this years cutest goat kid.  Just look at those adorable moon spots on his back.

This year we have done goat work on 55 kids!  Now they are all getting ready to make the big journey to their new homes.  Good Luck little ones!!!

Friday Favorites: Teething Toy Edition

5-12-17 As you all know I recently started loosing my puppy teeth.  Teething is no fun but thankfully there are a lot of great teething toys on the market to help.  My favorites were the Toys R Us "Pets" Pink and green teether - purchased at Petsmart.  Its make of tough rubber but very flexible and has lots of different textures.

Petstages Dogwood stick - purchased at Petsmart.  It is textured to resemble bark, it comes in a variety of sizes, and is very durable.  Cet Chews - purchased at Flanary Vet Clinic.  These are only available at veterinary offices.  They too come in a variety of sizes, are long lasting and help keep your teeth clean with enzymatic magic dust!

If you are a puppy going through the teething stage I wish you happy chewing and hope you feel better soon!

#NotAd - These were personally purchased products that I liked best during the time I was teething.

Feeding the Birds

Everyday at Aunt Gracies house I see beautiful birdies flying around.

I asked her how she gets so many birds to visit her.  She told me about the bird feeders she hung in the yard, and told me that I just need to fill a feeder and I can have birds visit my yard too.

Momma I want birds in my yard, can I use the credit card please?
