Thinking Thursday: What's in a Name?

4-20-17 My name is Lucy, short and sweet. :)

Before I came to live with my momma she had a BIG list of doggie names she liked.  A few of those names included Ellie Mae, Sophia, Elsie, Betsy, Bessie, Sophie, Frannie, Izzy, Stella, Daisy Mae, Maggie Mae, and her top choice Bailey (alt sp - Baylee).  The name Lucy was on her list but way further down.  Momma says when she saw my cute red curls she knew that Lucy was the name for me!  I agree!

I'm often called Lulu, Lucy Bug & Lucy-No as well.  


Fun Fact: In my previous home I was known as Finley.

Wordless Wednesday: A Case of the Puppy Crazies

Puppy Class # 6

4-17-17 Six weeks have passed since I first started puppy class.  Its hard to believe that graduation day is already here!  Just look at my first class photo.  I was so tiny!

 I would like to send a big THANK YOU to Nanette at Petsmart for teaching such a great class.  I bid farewell to my classmates Harley, Vader, Sawyer and Silas!  Keep up the good work boys! 

First thing we did was roll call. Lucy Here, Harley Here, but Vader sadly didn't make it to this class.  But in a great turn of events Sawyer and Silas did make it!  YEA!  I play bowed, shook my tooshie at Silas and gave him even more puppy kisses! He is just so sweet!!!!  After roll call, our pawrents received clipboards with a survey for the class.  Once that was turned in we got right to the PUP Quiz.  We had to show our trainer that we had been doing our homework and were behaving.  Harley went first and did great!  When it came to my turn Nanette slid a stool my way so I could show off my stuff like the circus dog I want to become!   So I did sit/down with stay (or as momma renamed it, hold it), watch me and leave it/take it.  Then Sawyer and Silas showed off their stuff!  When we all were finished it was time to hand out the Graduation Certificates!  WOO HOO!!!

 After pictures the pawrents talked about going on to the next class and if we can all make it work with our schedules all four of us pups are going to go to the intermediate class together on June 5th.  I'm really working on my momma to make this happen.  I want to go on, learn more and see my furiends again!  So it may not be farewell, it may be see you soon boys!

BREAKING NEWS: I'm Loosing My Teeth

4-16-17 Last night we were watching Desperate Housewives, we're in season 4 now, and mommy said "Lucy your holding your mouth funny, whats going on?"

 umm, momma i don't like this game!

Once she got a good look she exclaimed "Lucy you are loosing your puppy teeth!"  Oh my dog!

She says this is normal for a 5 month old puppy and new one adult teeth will grow in their place.  But how am I going to eat my kibble and milk bones till those big teeth come in?  I'm furry concerned!

Visiting Momma's Workplace

4-15-17 Back on the day of the Easter Egg Hunt we made one quick stop before hitting the park.  Momma said she wanted to show me where she spends her days when I am at day care.  Hmm, no slides, bounce houses, puppies, or treat dispensers.  Not sure why she would want to come here everyday.  I'll stick with Aunt Gracie and day care!

My 1st Easter Egg Hunt

4-15-17 The local Humane Society was hosting an Easter Egg Hunt at the Murray Park.  

After signing in we checked out the doggies attending.  Look a stroller pup.  

And oh my dog look who else I found!!!!! Silas from Puppy Class!!!!  He and Sawyer were busy and we didn't get to play but give a wag hello!

So many dogs everywhere we almost missed this Mini pony.

After checking out all the cute pups in attendance we heard the announcement that the little dogs hunt was beginning.

Found one momma!  And its in my signature color!  Yellow!

Found another!

It's green.

After photos we went back the main area to hear the winners of the raffle.  We didn't win but the little pups who did were sure happy with their toys!  Congrats puppers!
