Spotlight Wichita Falls - Sculptures at MSU

Midwestern State University, located in Wichita Falls, Texas, is recognized as a public liberal arts university with strong programs in the arts, humanities, sciences, and social sciences as well as accredited professional programs in social work, nursing, radiologic science, respiratory care, athletic training, and business, among others. Midwestern State is the only Texas university to become a member of the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges (COPLAC).

It is also home to many beautiful sculptures.  Which is what our spotlight will be focusing on today.

MSU's mascot is the Mustang.  Here we have a sculpture entitled "The Believers" by Jack Stephens.  It resides at Taft and Midwestern and is one of the most prominent sculptures seen by the public.

In the heart of the of the campus we have the HHH cyclists at the corner of Council Dr and Comanche Trail.  Sculpture by Jack Stephens

Next we have the Sunwatcher on Counsil dr.  Sculpture by Jack Stephens.

Last but not least is a  full size replica of the Liberty Bell at the Welcome Center.

Smooches,

Lucy
