To celebrate the Wichita Falls centennial this 12 foot enamel on iron sculpture was added to Harold Jones Park (AKA Bellview Park) in 1982.
This sculpture cost $100,000 to make with half of the money coming from the National Endowment for the Arts and the other half coming from local taxes.
It is a stunning sculpture in the down town park.
Not only is it beautiful it also provides seating for those wanting to enjoy the park.
We love crepe myrtles and are lucky enough to have some at the complex. Their blooms are the prettiest shade of hot pink!
Smooches,
Lucy
